All you have to do is drop off your donations in the boxes that will be located in your residence halls or in TU 130 in the CIW Commons.  This is a really easy way to make a big difference for people in need!! Council E-Board Elections

It’s that time of year again…election time! You have the power to run for and vote for your 2008-2009 BU Scholars E-board. These positions allow you to gain some great event planning and coordinating experience, earn some negotiable Scholars course credit, and work closely with Scholars staff and students.  We are looking for students with leadership abilities, creativity, and enthusiasm. Available positions include:

(2) BUSAC Representatives/Academic Liaisons

(1-2) Social Events Coordinators

(1) Academic Enrichment Coordinator

(1) Community Service Coordinator

(1) Administrative and Membership Coordinator

In order to run for a position, all candidates must type an approx. 50-100 word statement explaining why they are qualified for the position and what they hope to do in the role.

On Tuesday, April 29th, anytime between 7:00-8:00pm, in the CIW Commons, all candidates must drop off in-person their written statements and at the same time meet with the current Scholars E-board for a brief 5 minute, informal chat.

Throughout that week all official candidates will be announced and voting will be held online. E-mail mallory.emerson@gmail.com with any questions, time conflicts, or concerns. Good luck to all!

Current E-board members and bios can be found on the ‘About‘ page!

Hello Scholars,

As you head home for spring break, please keep this in mind: the Scholars program is having a drive for the S.O.S. Women’s Shelter. As a way to give back to women and children in need, we are having a combination toy, book, clothing, and toiletries drive. Please swing by Mallory’s office during her office hours (TU 130, in the CIW Commons) to drop off your donation. It is really appreciated and can really help make a difference.

Thanks,

Alexis Stecker
